Alexandra ward takes in parts of Berrylands, Tolworth and the Sunray Estate. The ward boundary is a little odd, running down the middle of Tolworth Broadway, Alexandra Drive and the top part of Raeburn Avenue. The ward is part of Surbiton Neighbourhood, which holds the majority of its meetings at Dysart School in Ewell Road. You can check for the next meeting date on the Kingston Council website.
The above map shows the three polling areas within Alexandra ward. The black circles identify the location of the polling stations for each area — Emmanuel Church Hall, United Reformed Church Hall and Sunray Community Centre.
Alexandra ward is an interesting area which is a good place to live in. We have the Hogsmill River, Alexandra Park, Alexandra Millennium Green and several other green areas. The A3 runs through the ward, as well as half of Tolworth Broadway and all of Tolworth Tower.
The bottom half of the ward is made up of the Sunray Estate, including Donald Woods Gardens which is opposite Tolworth train station. Unusually the ward also extends to Old Kingston Road, Goals Football and the Riverhill Estate & sports club, which you need to leave the borough to drive to!
It is an eclectic ward, that is not without problems (traffic, parking, air pollution etc), but we think it’s a great place to live.
